Did You Know?
-
The
16-Piece Bacon Masterpiece: The Mega BLT
isn’t messing around. We weighed it out, and it packs exactly 16
thick-cut strips of bacon. That’s almost an entire pound of bacon layered between two
slices of toasted white sourdough.
-
At
Your Leisure Coffee: Our House Black
Coffee menu note
says "at your leisure" for a reason. In the early morning
hours, this is the unofficial town hall. Grab a cup, stir in your
cream, and take your time checking out the latest Nestucca River or
other Oregon coastal stream condition report.
-
The
French Dip Twist: Most places serve a French Dip on a traditional hoagie roll, but we
do it on a toasted sesame
seed bun loaded
with roast beef, provolone, and havarti. Why? The soft bun absorbs
the warm dipping broth perfectly without shredding.
-
The
Mega Club: It's so
massive that our kitchen crew jokes it requires blueprint approval. It features three layers of toasted white sourdough. It's structurally
engineered to hold a mountain of turkey, ham, bacon, cheddar,
lettuce, tomato, purple onion, and mayo. If you order the Full, We highly recommend a two-handed grip and a serious appetite!
We
originally only offered The
Mega Club as a full
sandwich. However, after watching dozens of Hebo locals ask for
butcher paper to wrap up their leftovers for the river bank, we
introduced the Half-Size
($10.00). Fun fact: Our "Half" is still larger than most regular club
sandwiches you'll find anywhere else in the valley!
Fun Facts About Our Hebo/Three Rivers Location
-
The
Dawn Patrol: On any
given morning, the lights in our kitchen blink on long before the
sun rises over the Big Nestucca Valley. Our house-made country gravy
is served hot over a fluffy buttery biscuit... by the time the very
first salmon or steelhead drift boat hits the water.
-
California
Sourdough in the PNW: While we love our local sourdough, our cold Little Nestucca Deli
sandwiches are served exclusively on California
Sourdough. It's a
combination of white and sourdough that does not have an aggressive
tang, which pairs perfectly with our daily cold cut meats
Turkey, Ham, or Roast Beef.
-
The
Warm-Up Combo: On rainy, foggy, Oregon coastal winter days, the
ultimate local insider order is the Grilled Cheese paired with
an 8oz Tomato Bisque. It’s been the unofficial "Nestucca
hand-warmer" this past year.
Driven by the Nestucca Community
Our
Hebo deli isn't just a kitchen; it's a neighborhood focal point... our Big Nestucca Valley is cherished and respected.
-
The
Angler's Exchange:
Notice someone staring intently at the menu? They might not just be
choosing a burger-they’re probably listening in on the counter
chatter. This is where secrets about what the fish are biting on
(and where) get passed down.
-
Fueling
the Local Workforce:
From loggers and construction crews to Oregon fish biologists and
Hebo forestry park rangers, our lunches are engineered to provide
the calories needed for a grueling day of outdoor work.
-
The
"Add-On" Customizers: Our community loves to experiment. Thanks to our regulars, off-menu
creations like adding a fried egg to the Country
Burrito or throwing
jalapenos onto the Classic
Cheeseburger became
so popular we had to add them to the official Add-On list!
After Hours: Hebo
Sporting Goods Deli Breakfast and Lunch is Served all Day!
A
deli and cafe (a couple tables inside or picnic outside) tucked inside
a Tillamook County sporting goods shop...
...serving heavy-hitting comfort
food right after the river drift practically screams Pacific
Northwest fishing culture.
Tasty Hebo Homemade food: Unknown facts?...
-
The
Guide’s Secret Comfort: The Guide’s
Favorite Meal (a
fluffy biscuit smothered in clam chowder) started as an off-menu
kitchen experiment. Local Big Nestucca River guides would come in
frozen to the bone, asking for "something hot, fast, and heavy. We threw the two best things we had together, added a kick of
smoked cayenne, and a legend was born.
-
What's
a Side Winder? Our
River Monster Fries
don't use regular cuts. We use Side
Winder fries
because their unique, helical-twisted shape...
...holds exactly 34% more
melted cheese, bacon, and grilled onions per bite than a standard
french fry. Yes, we actually tested it.
-
The
Two-Hour Window: Our Little Nestucca Hebo Cafe dinner menu is
only available from 4 PM to 6 PM Thursday through Sunday. Why? Because that’s "The Golden Hour" - the exact window
when the boats pull off the river, the shops close up, and the
Nestucca Valley and Oregon coast gets hungry.
The Reality of Our Three Rivers Location
One-Stop
Wonder: We are one
of the only places in the valley where you can buy a fresh
hand-wrapped Fisherman’s
Melt, pick up a
dozen nightcrawlers, and get a license for steelhead, trout, or
salmon fishing... all under one roof.
-
The
"After the Drift" Name: The After the Drift
Burger is named
after the Nestucca River drift boat tradition. When you’ve been
rowing against the current all day, your body burns serious
calories. This burger is complete with a crispy hashbrown and a
fried egg if desired, perfectly engineered to replace every single
burnt calorie.
-
The
Firehouse Connection: The Firehouse Burger
gets its name as a nod to our local Tillamook County firefighters
who frequent our Hebo Cafe and Deli. It packs enough heat (thanks to
the fresh jalapeños and pepper cheeses) to keep the station on high
alert.
We're all About Our Nestucca Neighborhood
Our
deli isn't just a business; it's a community hub. We love our valley,
and we show it in everything we do.
-
Bragging
Rights Board: Got a
picture of a massive Three Rivers chinook or steelhead you caught
today? Bring it to the register! If it’s impressive enough, it
goes on our legendary wall of fame.
-
Supporting
Local Hatcheries:
Jr, Vy, Leo, and Lena take part in the ODFW Rhodes Ponds
Hatchery program...
...supporting local river conservation and fish
hatchery programs to keep our waters thriving for generations to
come.
-
The
Guide's Roundtable: If you come in at 4:00 PM sharp, you’ll usually find the valley’s
most experienced fishing guides swapping stories at the counter. Pull up a stool, grab a 32oz fountain drink, and you might just
learn the best fishing spots in the area. Remember... our
Hebo Sporting Goods Deli lunch and breakfast is served all day!

date. We're designing as we go along...
If there's something that
you don't like (format, color, links that aren't working, image size, etc.), chances are
we're aware of it and...
...it'll get adjusted as we progress. Additionally...we've got tons of our own photos... no stock images allowed here!
