Owned and operated by JR and Vy, a couple whose hearts beat for the outdoors and the joy of community.

Our Hebo deli and sporting goods store is a haven for adventurers, anglers, and anyone who feels the call of the ocean, rivers, and lakes here on the Oregon coast.

Our Story: A Legacy of Love and Adventure

For 20 years, JR and Vy have been partners in life and in passion, building a life rooted in their shared love for the great outdoors.  JR’s journey began as a young boy, clutching a fishing rod with wide-eyed wonder, casting lines into the shimmering waters of Oregon’s rivers and lakes.

That spark of joy grew into a lifelong devotion to fishing, a craft he now shares with every customer who walks through our sporting goods and deli doors. Whether it’s the thrill of reeling in a steelhead or the quiet serenity...

...of a morning on the Nestucca River, JR’s passion for angling is contagious.

Vy, on the other hand, brings warmth and heart to everything she touches.  Her love for serving people good Hebo homemade food is legendary within the Hobbs family...

With a smile that lights up the room and a knack for creating dishes that comfort the soul, Vy believes that food is more than sustenance... it’s a way to bring people together, to share stories, and to create memories.

At Nestucca Valley Sporting Goods, Vy’s hospitality shines, making every visitor feel like family.

Together, JR and Vy dreamed of a place where their passions could intertwine... a Hebo store that not only equips adventurers with the best gear...

But also fosters a sense of community and connection to the land.

In 2025, that dream became reality with the opening of Nestucca Valley Sporting Goods.  It's named after the majestic Nestucca River that flows through our region, a symbol of the lifeblood of our outdoor heritage.
