  • Crawdad traps.  It's fun setting our Hebo crawdad traps.
  • Crab pots
  • Crab Bait/crawdad bait

Crawdad Tip

Set your crawdad traps in one of our Hebo area rivers, then check them the next day.  You can use these salmon and steelhead baits as-is after peeling the tail...

...or don't be afraid to cure them up with your favorite bait cure.  They'll freeze fine.. cured or not.

Make sure you set them at the head of the crawdad hole so the bait scent from the traps permeates throughout.  The crawdads will sniff it out.

*Mix some crawdad tails in with your cured salmon or steelhead eggs!

Floating the Nestucca River

  • Floatation system rafts.  Keep in mind... fishing Three Rivers is only allowed from the bank.

Hardware

Safely secure your Nestucca raft or drift boat.

Are you "roughing it" in your fishing trailer and dealing with a leak?  No problem... just throw a tarp over it.  Keep one handy for multiple uses.

  • Tie-down straps
  • Tarps

Necessities for Your Nestucca River Boat or Bank Fishing Trip:

  • Fish bag
  • Carrying bag/large.  Load up your gear for an over-night fishing trip.
  • Cooler/ice chest
  • Flashlight.  Legal fishing time:  One hour before and an hour after sunset.
  • Ice:  Block and crushed.  Don't skimp here...keep your fish cold (and your lunch)!
  • Net.  Avoid saying “I should've had a net!”
  • Rod bell.

Tip:  Water High and Off-Color?

Nestucca River high and off color?  Ready to relax?  Hook up your rod bell and do some plunking right below the mouth of Three Rivers on the lower Nestucca River.

Hebo's Three Rivers will dump green or clear water into the high and muddy Nestucca River.  Cast your plunking gear into the green water close to the bank.  Doesn't appeal to you?  Ok...

Drift or bobber fish this green seam instead.  Heavier gear might be needed and will not turn off the fish in these conditions.

*If you're carrying your eggs in a bait box, mix in some crawdad tails!

Swimming the Nestucca While Enjoying the Sun

Snorkel some deep cool Nestucca swimming holes during the summer when water temperatures are in the high 60's.  Enjoy the sun as well... don't forget about our beautiful beaches near Hebo.

  • Beach floating mattress
  • Towels:  Big and warm!
  • Snorkeling gear

Wader and Other Repairs

  • Repair kit for waders:  For use at home or on your favorite Tillamook or Lincoln County salmon/steelhead river.
  • Tape (and a knife) can be the difference between a successful fishing/camping trip or coming home early instead.  If you break your fishing pole, tape might get you by.

Our Site is Under Construction

We're roll'in up our sleeves and finally building a Website for our Hebo Deli and Sporting Goods Business!  We thought it would be a great idea to go live asap instead of...

...waiting until the final completion date.  We're designing as we go along...

If there's something that you don't like (format, color, some links not operational yet, image size, etc.), chances are we're aware of it and...

...it'll get adjusted as we progress.  Additionally... we've got tons of our own photos... no stock images allowed here!

We know you'll like the final product.
