Bait Tip

Chunk up your tuna bellies, herring or anchovies and use with or without other bait. Fish them under your bobber in the Big or Little Nestucca River Bay! Even cure them up with your favorite bait cure.

Try this: Mix a can of oil-packed tuna with your cured salmon eggs and marinate for at least a day. No problem re-freezing. I've never cured my eggs with the tuna but I'm sure it'll probably be ok.

If you start fishing really early in low light, make sure you include something black (yarn, bead, etc.) with your bait.

You might prefer one bait cure and maybe one bait scent (above). Or... you might like to keep several on hand.

Sinker pliers and/or regular or needle-nosed

Fishing knife

Snippers

Hook file. KEEP YOUR HOOKS SHARP.

Reel oil. Clean and oil your reel occasionally.

Tip: Always carry a screwdriver. Make sure it fits your reel... you might need it while you're fishing.
